The idea is to bring together two posts that cover the same topic in a different way. I want to provide you with an opportunity to reflect on an issue from two different perspectives.
In the short time I have been active on my own blog and in the blogosphere in general, I have noticed that often a particular topic circulates around a number of blogs around the same time. I find this really interesting as links fly thick and fast and bloggers and readers actively participate in conversations around a particular issue/topic.
The benefits to us as bloggers and/or readers are significant because so many different view points and perspectives are thrown into the mix, and this all helps to further our understanding of the issue. In addition, I believe keeping an open mind to a range of ideas, view points and perspectives can challenge us to change our thinking. At the end of the day each individual sifts through the information provided and determines what they want to take on board and/or what to do with this information.
The Concept
The idea behind Take 2 is to present two separate posts that are related in some way and yet they appear to have been written independently of each other. What I mean by that is they are not just two related posts written around a similar period covering the same topic, that are part of a blogosphere “conversation” like I have referred to above.
At this stage Take 2 is an experimental idea I am unleashing onto the blogosphere. There is no set day, frequency or period that the series will fit into. I am guessing it will be approximately oncea fortnight on average. I am flying by the seat of my pants with a ”suck it and see” approach. Any constructive feedback on this idea would be appreciated.
My intention with Take 2 is to focus mainly on bringing together older posts that have been written in different periods from each other rather than recently written articles.
Today’s Take 2 just happen to be recent articles. Davina from Loving Pulse and Lance from Jungle of Life both share their experience of a storm and present different analogies following on from this.
Check out their articles - Davina’s article is called The Eye of the Storm and Lance’s is And The Thunder Rolls.
I found it interesting reading two similar but different articles side by side. What about you? How did it feel seeing two different perspectives? Please share any thoughts on this or any comments you have on either of the articles.

Hi Leanne, and thank you very much for the link!
I enjoyed reading Lance’s article because it was about a favourite topic of mine and because it shared a different viewpoint.
You have a good idea here with Take 2. Changing our perspectives about things is a good exercise that stretches our imagination.
I will watch for more Take 2 articles in my travels and keep you “posted”

Well, I haven’t read either of those two articles…yet… But I can say that I like the idea of your new series. Thing is, it’s good to view things from differing perspectives otherwise we develop a narrow-minded view of the world. Don’t you think?
And what’s great about the blog-o-sphere is that everyone has something different, something unique, to share.

Hi Davina
You are welcome. Stretching the imagination - I like that - so using the analogy (it’s no secret that I like analogies) of stretching muscles so they perform better and give us a greater range of movement and just feel better overall we can perform stretching exercise with our minds and imagination too.
Ricardo
I agree with your sentiments - everyone has something different and unique to share and it all helps to open our minds to new ideas and concepts. I think it makes the blogosphere an interesting and stimulating place to be.
Leanne, I really love this “Take 2″ idea - what a great concept to compare two similar (yet different) articles.
I had not read Davina’s article, and it was great to see the idea of storms from a different perspective. She has such a great way of describing her experiences and how they relate to her life.
And, thank you for including me in this series - I’m very honored by this!

You’re welcome Lance. Glad you got something out of reading Davina’s article too.
