Ti Tom
Needing sleep when batteries are running low seems to be a recurring theme amongst the responses.

Singing with the sunroof open in any weather - that sounds slightly weird and that's probably why it appeals to me. I don't have a car with a sunroof but if I ever did I would be sure to try this out.

Hi Dave and Welcome to Forever Change.
Funny you should mention you have got a cold because two days after I wrote this post I developed a cold and I am home from work for the second day now.

I hope you are fighting off the cold. Look after yourself and fill up with fruit and vegies!

When low I nap, frequently. I also sing with the sunroof open in any weather.

Hi Leanne,

I feel for you. One of my computers is broken more than it’s working, and I have some grave concerns for the laptop I’m currently using.

I’ll admit that my own batteries need recharging. I’ve pretty much ignored what my body is telling me at the moment (it’s telling me I’ve got a cold) in the interests of getting a project finished. I think that before I dive into the next project I should just take it a little easier and maybe aim to get a little more sleep.

The biggest problem for me when I’m run down is turning to junk food for comfort. Bad, bad, bad.

Dave

Hi Vered - welcome to Forever Change.
Sounds like you are quite proactive when it comes to recharging your batteries. An occasional afternoon to spend however you want is a great way to be self nurturing.

"How do you recognize when your batteries are running low and what do you do to recharge your batteries?"

When I don't sleep well, I know I'm stressed. I usually recharge by taking a weekend afternoon off, leaving the kids with my husband, to either be by myself or get together with a girlfriend.

I think I need to recharge this way approximately once a month. :)

I know what you mean Davina. Overthinking tends to draw a lot of power from our batteries and can drain them pretty quickly. Switching the brain off from "think mode" like you do helps a lot.

I feel overwhelmed when my batteries are running low; grumpy and irritable. When this happens I need to stop the thinking process by either taking a bath, going for a long walk, or turning on the tv and losing myself in a funny sitcom.
