I love the picture.

With blogging I try to keep my mind open most of the time. Whether it’s a blog post written by someone else, or a comment someone leaves, with an open mind I feel I can be stay on the road to learning and continue challenging myself.

Ahhh the sound of the ocean…one of mother nature’s best sounds. I live 1km from the beach and would love to be within “hearing distance” of the beach. It sounds like a little piece of paradise on your veranda. Are your creative juices flowing?
What type of birds are your pet birds? I have two love birds but they are in a cage.

As I’m writing this I’m sitting on my sunny veranda with my pet birds on the keyboard and the wild birds rummaging in the back garden. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and the gentle roll of the ocean can be heard faintly in the distance.

Live couldn’t be better right now.

Great metaphor! Sometimes we tend to keep the windows of our life closed a little too long. And it’s always refreshing to open them up and let in some new ideas. Sometimes we get rain or snow (some not-so-good stuff coming in), but that’s ok, we can close them back up when this starts to happen. I think the key is to open them up regularly so we don’t become stale, like the cottage you stayed at.

I read this as opening the door to our creativity. Without it, what do we have? Not much of anything. You can through progress out the door because without creativity, there is no progress. Creativity is everything…

I love the metaphor you have used here. When I stop to think about this I realize that this doesn’t happen as often as it should. Thanks for reminding me. When I was caught up in the 9 to 5 scene it probably happened every Friday afternoon. Sad eh?
